Mannnn, I really need to stay more on top of this website. You get busy, and the next thing you know one of your peeps asks you "what's the deal w/ your site"? I always get confused as to whether the quotation marks (") goes at the end of the sentence or the punctuation (I just sat here for like 2 minutes trying to recall the proper word, which was "punctuation" in this particular case-quotes in the middle of the sentence are easier to manage). A cat's been running and gunning and I'm kinda pissed that i have been slipping on the schedule listing-FOR ANYBODY IN THE NYC AREA***NOW HEAR THIS***THE MAJORITY OF THE TIME I'M IN TOWN, I'M AT STAND UP NY ON WEST 78TH AND BROADWAY, BOSTON COMEDY CLUB, I USUALLY DROP BY CAROLINE'S UNANNOUNCED AND THE COMIC STRIP!!! -did you like the CAPITAL letters? I did that to sort of give the impression of some sort of urgency to my words-then I added the exclamation points to drive the sentence down your throats...I hope i didn't sound like I was yelling at anybody. my bad. I need to stop this passive/aggressive thing, man. oh, I forgot to add to that sentence-GENERALLY AFTER ALL THE SPOTS THOUGHOUT THE CITY, I SWING BY THE COMEDY CELLAR, LIKE LOTS OF (MAINSTREAM) COMEDIANS IN THE CITY...I'm sorry to yell again-Oops! I did it again (uggghh, was that a Britney Spears reference used to convey humor? Dean, U stink!). Anyway, the Cellar is a sort of watering hole that stays open later than most other comedy spots in the city. The restaurant upstairs has a bar and pretty good turkey burger's. I dig the spot. I won't perform there though. I had been attempting to get love in there for a while and finally said 'f#ck 'em' w/ regards to getting mic time by early 2001. I told myself I'd transcend the spot and make them wanna give me some light later on. Some months later I had "buzz" and next thing U know MadTV offered us a gig, Montreal and the nets were checking for us, and SNL happened. I remember a few days after the word had spread about me getting SNL, I was in the club eating and all of the sudden one of the owners of the club was in my face/my bestest buddy. I'm not a grudge holding type cat, so I was cordial. Still am. But integrity won't allow me to work their club. I'll eat that turkey burger though.
